Looking through for Bugs, Bees, Beetles and Butterflies by Norwich Young Embroiderers

The theme ,’Looking through for Bugs, Bees, Beetles and Butterflies’  was a group decision which developed over four months. The main idea was to use stitches and techniques  learnt the previous year. They all worked very hard and became more determined as the weeks went by.

There are seven members, the younger ones often have an adult with them and we have three helpers. The team work has been particularly successful in gelling the group.

We meet for four hours once a month on Saturdays. The girls tend to get tired as the day goes on so we have divided the time into half. Group work for the first half and personal projects after lunch. So far this has worked well.

They are looking forward to the return of their work but may be persuaded to display it at Regional Day in St. Albans in July. I will ask them. It will eventually be divided up so they can take their own piece of stitching home.
