Founded in 1977 the South & East Essex Branch of the Embroiderers’ Guild serves the community along and inland from the Thames Estuary. We welcome anyone with an interest in Embroidery, but we don’t even insist that you stitch! Saturday meetings offer a variety of entertainment, from guest speakers to practical afternoons. We aim to cover the wide range of interests which inform Textile Art and Embroidery - from the historical and cultural, to the contemporary. Our Wednesday meetings are very popular, a chance to bring along your own work to stitch and share with others, in a very relaxed friendly atmosphere.
