We are a friendly group of embroiderers who meet once a month normally on the second Saturday of the month (except Aug) to chat, exchange ideas, and listen to a professional speaker on all things embroidery and textiles.
Don’t worry if you think you can’t stitch – many of our workshops are designed for complete beginners.
Do come along to our next Saturday branch meeting. The cost is £3.00 for members and £5 non-members, which includes refreshments.
Our group was started over twenty years ago by Wendy Pidgeon and Patricia Hamlin (who are still active members in the group). These ladies were and still are very passionate about all things to do with embroidery, and their enthusiasm has given our branch its special blend of traditional and contemporary character.
We are pleased to report that the Branch has just had a very successful exhibition in conjunction with the Havering Museum titled ‘Havering In Stitch’ which has attracted a lot of support in the local area. We hope to build on this in the coming months as we work towards the CAPABILITY BROWN FESTIVAL 2016
