We are a friendly group with mixed abilities and interests in a variety of embroidery, textile and stitched crafts. We welcome new members of all ages, interests and skill levels.
What do we do?
Informal afternoons – usually held the first Saturday of the month. This is an opportunity to get together with other members, share your experiences, stitch, natter and have tea and biscuits. We review work done in Workshops and have occasional demonstrations. For example, how to make a fabric corsage
Books and magazines are available to borrow from our extensive library.
This is also an opportunity to book a place on one of our workshops details here

We are particularly proud of our programme of workshops covering many techniques, offering the opportunity to learn new skills. These are just a few held recently:
We have a very active group of Young Embroiderers (aged five to seven with a parent, up to age seventeen) who meet on Saturday mornings six times a year.
We hold 3 social events a year – Spring and Summer Suppers and Christmas lunch.
At the spring and summer events we have a trade sales table with tempting things we just have to buy! At all events we have an interesting speaker on textile and embroidery subjects. Speakers always bring exciting examples of their own work.
Our Annual General Meeting is held in September, when we also have an interesting speaker.

All our informal meetings, workshops and social events are held at The Settlement, Nevells Road, Letchworth Garden Centre SG6 4UB.
