January

Tuesday 9th – Our new Regional Chair, Cheryl Montgomery will introduce herself and talk about the Guild. We will also have one of The Guild Folios on show – Birds, Beasts and Insects. Inspiration for our Branch Chairman’s Challenge of Fur, Fins and Feathers.

February

Saturday 3rd – Workshop ‘Bonded Surfaces’ with Lynda Monk 10am to 4pm at Firstsite

Tuesday 13th – Introducing the Mersea Artist –  Vinney Stapley

March

Saturday 3rd – Eastern Region Inter-Branch Day at Histon Baptist Church, Cambridge, CB24 9LN

Tuesday 13th – Bold, Brilliant and Beautiful Backgrounds with Pauline Medinger

April

Tuesday 10th – ‘Layered Landscapes, practical session with Mary McIntosh

Saturday 14th – National AGM, at Church of Christ the Cornerstone, Milton Keynes, MK9 2ES.

Friday 27th – Spring Workshop ‘Overlays’ with Michael Brennand-Wood. 10am to 4pm at Firstsite.

Saturday 28th – Spring Talk by Michael Brennand-Wood, ‘Pretty Deadly’. 11am at Firstsite.

May

Tuesday 8th – Dip into Dyeing- members share their top tips..

A garden workshop to follow TBA.

Also a trip to HQ details TBA.

June

Saturday 2nd – ‘Laminated Stitch’ Workshop with Alex Waylett at her Elm Farm Studio.

Tuesday 12th – Summer Stitch Spectacular. A year of stitch display, Travelling Books Display, members ‘Show and Tell’, bring your own stitching.

July

Tuesday 10 – ‘Take One Stitch’ with Susan Rhodes. Please bring your sewing kit.

August

Saturday 4th – National Day of Stitch, venue TBA

Tuesday 14th – History and Textiles come together in a talk by Janette Bright , EAST member and Phd student.

September

Tuesday 11th – ‘Folded Books’ – an illustrated talk by Teresa Tokely.

October

Saturday 6th – Regional AGM at Histon Baptist Church, Cambridge, CB24 9LN

Tuesday 9th – Branch AGM and Annual Exhibition.

Tuesday 13th -Member Focus – Jill Carter

Saturday 24th – Kantha workshop with Libby Smith, 10am to 4pm at Firstsite

Tuesday 11th – Christmas Temari, make a Japanese thread ball with Pam Garland.
