2017 Meeting Programme
January 10th – Happy 30th Birthday C & C Branch – Bring along something you stitched 30 years ago, photographs and any memorablia of the early days of our branch. Theresa will launch this year’s Chairman’s Challenge!
January 24 – The Museum of East Anglian Life are joining forces with the EG to stage an exciting new exhibition for 2017.
February 7th – A Cacophony of Colour. Play with paint on fabric provided by Pauline.
February 21st – Mini Workshop Groups. Goldwork helped by Lorna, canvas work with Jacquie or your own work in progress.
March 4th – Interbranch Day at Histon Baptist Church, Histon, Cambridge, CB24 9LN.
March 7th – Papers for Stitching. Ruth and Sue will introduce some interesting surfaces.
March 21st – Tools with Tales. Sue Allington has a fascinating collection of old needlework tools for us to see. Anyone else have some interesting pieces?
April 4th – The Beehive. Maggie will be at our meeting to introduce Colchester’s new craft store.

May 9th – Member Focus – Pat Grix. One of our talented, long serving members, has a wealth of creative experiences to share.
May 23rd – Design Divertimento conducted by Linda Watts, A rather different kind of inspiration!
June 6th – One Year of Stitches. Begin an interesting journey with Carol Dixon.
June 20th – Mini Workshop Groups

September 5th – From Start to Finish. Ellen Devall will share how her work progresses from inspiration to completion.
September 8th – 10th – Regional Summer School weekend at Belsey Bridge Conference Centre, Ditchingham. Bungay NR35 2DZ.
September 19th – Mini Workshops
October 3rd – Branch AGM and Exhibition. Including your finished Chairman’s Challenge pieces and a display of the Travelling Books.
Saturday October 7th – Regional AGM at Histon Baptist Church, Histon, Cambridge.
October 17th – Galli’s Stars. Have a go at making these amazing Christmas decorations.
October 31st – Dabble with Discharge Printing. Create some exciting fabric finishes with Barbara who will show us how to safely remove the colour from dyed natural fabrics.
November 14th – Member Focus – Dot Reed’s wonderful creativity has followed many routes during her long association with the Guild.
November 28th – Workshop Show and Tell. Whether created at a Mini or Saturday workshop, finished or not, bring along the projects you have been working on this year.
December 12 – Christmas Meeting. Gift Boxes to make and a display of Galli’s Stars.
March 18th – Gina Ferrari Workshop – Stitched Graffiti at The Castle Church Hall.
