Regional Day 2012 closed its doors at 4pm last Saturday in Norwich with the organising committee heaving a sigh of relief that everything had gone to plan. Even the weather co-operated too with the sun shining most of the day.
Members were absolutely enthralled by Michael Brennand-Wood, the Madeira sponsored lecturer, who spoke completely without notes for a full 90 minutes before the lunch break, followed by Alaistair Macleod from Hand & Lock in the afternoon.
Ample time was left for looking at the hosting Branch exhibitions, the entries to the competitions, adding a stitch or two to the World’s Longest Embroidery and, of course, indulging in a little retail therapy – the Guild Bookshop, in particular, made record-breaking sales!
You can see pictures, both of the preparations and the day itself here.
And make a note in your diary that Regional Day next year will be hosted by Romford & West Essex Branch on Saturday 6th July 2013 – don’t miss it!
